TEACHING ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE
Sunny Acres Day Camp
During the summer of 2013 I worked as a camp monitor at Sunny Acres Day Camp. I worked with a group of girls between the ages of 5 and 7.
I spent my summer organizing and monitoring activities for this wonderful group of princesses!
We played dress up (hippy, cowgirl, and bellerina), learned new songs, had spa days, played sports, did arts, and even went to the future to create a robot!

I began tutoring English as a second language to a grade one student in August of 2013.
Considering she is a first grader, we learn as we play!
Autumn Adventures
We read "Leaf Man"
Went outside to collect leaves
Created our own Leaf Man puppet
Acted out the book using the puppet
Opposites at Easter
We did an Easter egg hunt and she had to find the opposites to the terms inside the eggs she found
Valentine Vowels
On Valentines we learned that when two vowels go walking, the first one does all the talking
We then made English Valentine cards for her friends
She had to highlight the vowel that did the talking in pink
